For weddings, consider booking your invitation stationer and calligrapher 4-6 months before your big day. This way there is plenty of time to get the guest list finalized, paper goods ordered, and letters perfectly flourished. For other events or visions, at least two months ahead is preferable.

No way.  Your project, your rules.  If you're curious what etiquette dictates, I'd be happy to guide you through the wonderful world of abbreviation faux pas and linguistic register (some of us really enjoy that stuff), but if not, no worries.

I am based out of Seattle, Washington, but I work with clients nationwide. Once your project is confirmed I'll send you all the information you need so the process is as stress free as possible for you.
